UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON CENTERS FOR MEXICAN AMERICAN STUDIES

The U of H CMAS not only focuses on teaching and in academic research, but on recruiting and retaining talented students through a scholarship program that provides financial assistance, personalized academic advising, tutoring/mentoring, leadership training and community service projects. Students don’t need to be US residences. Academic achievers program-Austin High School supports students with tutoring, mentoring, workshops for SAT and preparation for admission to the college or university of their choice. Students in U of H CAMS serve as mentors.
